Day Four - Customise Your Kitchen

On this quiet Sunday, I reflect on our incredible diversity. We are all unique, but at the same time, we share so much with each other. From an early age, we learn to adapt to others, sometimes at the expense of our individuality. As an astrologer, I aim to help people find themselves again and give them the freedom to be themselves. This principle - being authentic - is at the core of all my work and courses, complemented by practical tools to make dreams come true.

Today's Challenge with a Personal Touch:

Two days ago, we jointly cleaned out a kitchen drawer, paying attention to the optimal location of the cutlery drawer. Today, we're going to take it a step further. Before we tackle more kitchen cabinets, I invite you to list your kitchen activities and evaluate the current layout. Don't think about what 'should be' but what you do. Is the kitchen utensil you use close to where you need it?

Some Examples of Kitchen Zones:

  • Coffee zone

  • Tea

  • Smoothies

  • Lunch preparation

  • Protein shakes

  • Breakfast

  • Baking

  • Meal preparation

Customise Your Kitchen:

Start with post-its or notes. Write down the categories and stick them on the cabinets and drawers. This will help you visualise before you start reorganising.

Steps for Reorganisation:

Emptying: Start with one cabinet and empty it. It's important not to clear out more than one cabinet at a time to keep an overview.

Cleaning: Once the cabinet is empty, clean it thoroughly.

Selecting: Look critically at each item. Decide whether to keep it, donate it, or throw it away based on the category you are working on. Items that do not fit the current category are set aside until you reach that category.

Repeat: Continue in this manner with each category. Avoid feeling overwhelmed by limiting yourself to one cabinet at a time. Take breaks or spread the task over several days if necessary.

Flexibility is Key:

It may happen that your initial plan does not work perfectly in practice. Don't be afraid to make adjustments. Once everything is tidied and cleaned, moving items is a breeze.

I wish you a lot of success with this challenge! If you have any questions or are stuck, please contact me. I understand that some kitchen layouts can be challenging, especially if not well thought out during the design.

P.S. At the end of this challenge, I am giving away a cleaning package worth €100 and my course 'REORGANISE'! #ReorganiseYourLife

Wishing you a beautiful Sunday,

Love, Roxy
